Banks Drive Me Nuts

Tony Bacon
Posted

Anyone else just get sick of banks?

This month I'm in the process of closing down a business and migrating banks and OH MY LORD has it been a huge pain in the butt. The bank I was with kept charging fees and what not for minimum account balances and since I'm getting out of my business and starting something else, I didn't want to pay monthly maintence fees so I closed the accounts.

I brought my stuff over to a new bank and opened an account, great. But, only to find out the new bank I went with does NOT offer temp debit cards so basically I'm cardless for 10 days. Again, whatever, but I had some straggler payments from my business and upon setting up the ACH for the last like 3 payments my new bank is now doing random holds on ACH transfers for "fraud" protection. It's so annoying.

Long story short, I switched banks and now all my banking and bill pay got delayed like 2 weeks while the new bank just randomly holds money to "verify" transactions. Lesson learned, not all banks operate the same...

I managed to pay my bills that allowed direct ACH within accounts, but essentially I have to go to the bank, withdraw cash until the new cards show up. It's just like come on man, let me use my money!

Oh, but they would love to offer me a line of credit so they can skim 5% or whatever off my accounts receivable. Unbelievable.
