Which entity should I set up as an assistant?

I've recently started working as an contracted assistant for another investor. I'm helping to find leads and ready the marketing material. I want to put myself into an entity for this position because I plan on writing off education expenses, necessary travel, etc. In the future I may expand this with a partner in order to stream line things.

Which entity would be most applicable? Sole proprietor or LLC?

I look forward to responses.
