Property Management retention/transitioning

When properties sale that have property management in place. Is it customary that property management remains in place? Is it possible to retain existing property management remains? What should I expect from doing that dance?

@Jamie Parker it’s possible to keep the same PM, but not necessary. I wouldn’t use the same PM just because they’re currently the PM.. use a PM that you trust and have fully vetted. Let your PM work the dance with the old PM, they’re the expert.
