I'm looking to 1031 my current property into a new investment. It seems to me like realtors and brokers are both capable of helping out so long as they're knowledgeable with 1031 exchange. I was wondering if one generally has some benefits over the other or not? Anything else I should consider?

More important you'll want to find someone with experience with 1031 exchanges and that has contacts with Qualified Intermediaries (QI).  Also you'll want to finder a Realtor or broker that can find you a good income property for your goals in a location you want to invest in.
