I have $600k I can invest
Hi, I’m 15 years old and really interested in investing in real estate. I’m planning on taking the next three years to learn about real estate, and the rental economy around me. I was wondering how I can invest $600k into real estate? How should I spend it, should I buy multiple houses in one year or even one month? Obviously I don’t have $600k to my name, but my family has about $600k that we’re currently investing in stock with an agent. But I see that if you play your cards right you can earn a lot more with real estate than 6-10%.

Don't think of it as investing.
Think of it as running a business.
Because even if you own only one house, it's not a hands off thing like owning a stock certificate, or a bond, or some type of mutual fund or other paper product.
It's more like owning a 7 eleven.
You have customers. Some stay a long time, some stay a short time.
You have overhead of expenses to pay for. You have to pay for accounting, you have to know about loans, et cetera...
And the accountants that serve this business tend to be specialized in this business. Because it has a lot of unique tax laws and unique business setups.
The same with the attorneys that work in this business. Meaning your family CPA or family legal beagle might not be the best choice.
You can learn a lot from the guys in here who are owner operators/ managers.
Here's a list of a few from the top contributors list. You can take a look at some of their past postings and really come up to date with things.
I picked a few off the top contributors list on the right hand of the site (You could take a look at all of them on that list and learn a lot):
@James Wise And some of the videos he has on his business website.
@Nathan Gesner
And if when your eighteen, your parents turn over the management of this money to you-- You better be ready to hit the ground running. Because you can take losses in this business.. Especially If you don't know what you're doing.
Good Luck!
