Help with Taxes for First Home

Jennifer Sarmiento
  • San Diego
Posted

Hello, purchased our first primary residence in May 2023. Are there any tax benefits to “renting” one of the rooms to your young adult kid? Also, any recommendations for new homeowner tax advisors in San Diego? Mira Mesa/Sorrento Mesa area in particular. Just looking for someone a little more knowledgeable than our tax guy with real estate investing tax strategies (for future) to start & grow with. Thanks!

@Jennifer Sarmiento

I can personally recommend @Nate Meeker as a CPA. As long as you CPA is in San Diego (or even just CA) you should be good.
