Hi everyone! My name is Phil Dyer and I just joined Bigger Pockets to help me launch my RE investing career. Since I’m approaching retirement age, my goal is to develop a portfolio that provides supplemental income and equity.

I live in San Francisco, so I’ll be starting out smaller by looking into properties in my home state of Louisiana that I can rehab and hold as LTRs, or possibly STRs.

My plan is to focus exclusively on BRRRR for now, doing everything by the book—specifically, the David Greene ones. Looking forward to learning from everyone here and to helping each other become better investors!

I've got 13 SFR out of state and it's easy to self manage and rehab. Once you find decent boots on the ground you trust, it's easy. I picked a random small town in Arkansas I've never been to and have been self managing them from afar. I've had a few bad handymen along the way, but found a couple good ones I trust to look over and take care of all my properties.
