Hi my name is Brandon I’m 22 and eager to educate myself on becoming an investor in both real estate and stocks, I’m very new to the subject of investing and wealth building and would like to ask for help from anyone who who’s willing, I wanted to know where would you guys recommend in order to acquire a more hands on experience from a mentors or group. If you were me where would you start?

I'd start by getting your basic personal finance situation in order. This means paying off consumer debt and building an emergency fund. Dave Ramsey is an amazing resource for this.

Simultaneously I'd be exploring potential investment avenues. I'd recommend checking out Graham Stephan, David Greene, Robuilt, The Money Guys, and of course BP.

If you spend the next 6-12 months digging into these resources, I feel confident you'll have an idea of how to get started. House hacking and the sneaky rental method are what I'd look into at your age.

If you want first hand experience, check out local real estate investor meetups, or see if local realtors or property managers would be willing to talk to you.

    Thanks for the recommendations, Bryce.

One thing I've been struggling with is finding a structured way to learn. There seems to be a huge amount of information online, and it's difficult to know what to focus on as a beginner.

If you were starting from scratch today, are there any books, courses, or resources you'd recommend to build a solid foundation in real estate investing? I'd especially appreciate anything that helped you understand how the business actually works in practice.

My opinion is the best foundation for real estate investing is to build your personal finance foundation first. Dave Ramsey has a 3 hour radio show everyday. You can listen to old episodes for free online. Go listen to 2 months worth of episodes and you'll have a solid personal finance base. You can read his book The Total Money Makeover too.

If I were in your position, I'd start listening to all the real estate investing podcast I could, reading all the books I could get, and going to as many meetups as possible. At first, you'll feel overwhelmed, but you'll learn quickly. If you commit to doing this and looking at properties online and in person for a year, you'll have a super solid real estate foundation.

STAU AWAY FROM COURSES!!! There are some that could be beneficial to some folks at certain points in their life, but the overwhelming majority are fluff with info you can get for free online.

    thank you VERY much !!
