How do I find out what the zoning is of a property that I'm looking to invest in?

Again, easy question - just look up the zoning map for the city/county/township/etc in question. It's not really that relevant unless you're looking to rezone something or use it in some way that you suspect may not be permitted (short term rental, for example). If you're just looking for your first long-term rental that's usually no problem anywhere. But it doesn't hurt to look.
