Anyone on biggerpockets experienced in flipping and being a landlord in Central Islip, Brentwood, Bayshore and/or surrounding town in Suffolk County NY? If so, how did you start?

Hi Amanda, I inherited a property in Patchogue that my parents had bought 20 years ago. I'm sure it's different now, but even back then the taxes were high. They decided to purchase a residential and commercial property in hopes of finding long term tenants for the shops. We have a bookstore and barber-shop downstairs and an apartment upstairs. They took the time to find good tenants for the commercial shops and they've been there for 20 years now! Maybe look for a mixed use property!
