Clever Investor? Has anyone heard about this?

I came across this site called the Clever Investor and I am curious if anyone has heard of this? Is it a legitimate company or just another one of the real estate scams out there? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

@axelragnarsson - I appreciate your opinion...but how can you say "it's not worth it" if you haven't gone through the training?  I have found that there are many different types of learning styles and not everyone wants to search around hundreds of websites/pages to find the exact steps necessary to do certain types of deals.  I have purchased many different training courses and most of them had something of value I used or applied.  I believe my system (over 40 hours of training) is extremely well put together and through.

Don't get me wrong...I am not on her saying to buy my stuff...and I think that you are correct that there is a ton of great info on BP, but I find if odd how someone can give a strong opinion on someone else's training if they have never ever seen it.

@Seth Golie @Cody Sperber  BP nation has a pretty negative sentiment on virtually anything that is paid training. this tends to be a DIY site.. and of course they have their own materials they sell which I have never bought or looked at personally.

I do believe though you could shop E bay and buy virtually every providers of these types of services used from folks looking to resell them.. there is not really much that is new in RE .. for some one with zero experience there is defiantly a learning curve but most of the SYSTEMS are interchangeable and will hit on the same topics.. I think many just kind of white label them and repackage and sell.

Those that I know that have paid for training have done well with more individual mentoring but they paid pretty big bucks for it .. was not on line or buy this program or that and learn it on your own.. it was much more indepth and in person type training..  But frankly you can get much of that just getting your RE license and go to work in the industry as well..

this is a very tough industry with a ton of failure. because there is some romanticized notion that you can get very rich with little or none of your own money... while there are success stories like this in all industries... its not the norm in RE...

But hey in my mind any of these things that are sub 1k what the heck its nothing money unless you don't have 1k then its something but even the higher priced weekend courses at 10 to 30k have value to many folks who can afford to go.. I am not one that recommends you put 30k on your credit cards that I think is dangerous.. but if you got 30k want to spend it on education then go for it.. if you want to spend 500  bucks on some other written information then go for it... or go on E bay and buy the same stuff for 20 bucks... does not matter... its all the same info.  And hey we spend 200 to 500 just going to dinner these days.. so its not some huge financial risk. and it may just open some doors.  I am like Cody the last place I am going to learn this stuff is listening to a bunch of people on line tell me how it works in Toledo when I live in Oregon...

@Jay Hinrichs Well said Jay. Its funny, but I have free videos (started on youtube then BP), I created instruction DVDs, Training Courses, and now 1-on-1 mentoring, and it ranges from free - $400 for the course, more for the one on one service. Now, people who find me and pay for my courses have seen my videos, and decided they want more instruction from me, because they like the way I communicate, teach, and give them the information in a clear, simple, concise manner. BP crowd is quick to say - "You can find that information for free on BP, don't pay for anything!" But, they should also put - "you will be piecing together a lot of information over hours, some of the information wont help since it wont be applicable to your location, strategy, and/or your unique situation, and sometimes when you have the most questions - there may or may not be an answer that has already been answered on BP in the nick of time. And, by the way - there is so much info on BP, it can be overwhelming, not for everyone, but for a significant majority of people." That would be more honest to new investors than saying "you can get everything for free on BP!" Because, maybe your time isnt free (how much do you really have in the evenings), maybe uncertainty isnt free (stressful when you just cant get a specific answer) - you pay in different ways, and that $200 course can give you back a lot of that time and lessen that stres. When they come to my site after being on BP, the reason they listen to my 50 or so free videos is because of that. They pay for someone to curate and translate the info in a way they can understand or resonates with them. After 50 videos - you either like what I have to say, or you dont - the internet gives us so many more choices now.

@Cody Sperber Thank you for putting work into helping educate people, in apparently a way that has been really helpful to many. Even if you charge more - if its good, and has value, people who value your time and effort are happy to support you, and if they dont value your efforts, you gave them free articles (just as I did) for them to piece together. But, an honest statement in real estate investing, is that you always pay in some way.

@Seth Golie, I have actually bought Cody Sperber program, and to be quite honest it has been a game changer, and life experience for me.  I always watch his periscope, and his snapchat videos. He teaches you how to get started and give you the necessary documents to get started in Wholesaling. But he doesn't just teach wholesaling. He teaches other ways to make it in real estate. If you ask me buying his product was the best thing that I could've ever done! Many other guys stuff I bought I had to keep paying money, and more money, but not with @Cody Sperber! He is a down to earth guy! And I will defend on his behalf! I think you sould check out the testimonies about Cody Sperber on youtube! I promise you it will make a huge difference!

@Engelo Rumora  your two Australian sense are now only worth 1.4 US cents my good fellow.

I don't know Cody but if you say so... for 500 bucks what the heck.. I again agree with his premise that I would not spend hours listening to pod cast or trying to read thousands of post if I wanted to learn a specific system or scheme in RE... coming up as a young agent .. I spent many a dollar on sales training courses.. and you CANNOT teach sales training in my humble opinion simply by reading it.. YOU need the live interaction the reflection of voices the smooth and quick one line objection handling techniques etc etc.. now wholesaling is all about marketing and sales.. yet no one focuses on how sales skills only marketing IE yellow letters and door knock etc.. but now what the heck to do when you do get a lead.. that is were the money is made anyone can market that's simply a function of money.. And in all those courses I took over the years.. Cody is right I gleaned not the whole system from one coach but literally one or two little tidbits to create my own experience bucket and my own methods that led me to be a top producer in the industry.. and live the life I deserve  ( that sounds a little guru ish)...

I have said it in my video's and speaking gigs nationwide. My passion against all courses, DVD's, paid masterminds, etc... is very obvious and pretty much all of it is written by someone else on behalf of the "guru's". Then the "guru's just start flogging/scamming folks with the S#!@ every chance they get.

With that said, out of all the guru's out there, Cody is the only one I follow and know to be legitimate.

So my fedora is titled to Cody and Clever Investor as many vouch for him and the company to have life changing products.

Just my 0.2 Australian cents :)

@Donell Commings thanks for the input I'm still trying to decide what to do. I've looked into it quite a bit and watched some of his free videos. I do like that he offers all the paperwork needed to start the business. I am glad to here some positive feedback from you for sure. I do have a question though, do you use his M5 system and if so is it worth the $97 per month? How many contracts have you been able to flip since going through his program? Hope to hear back from you, thanks!
