Bandit Signs….Low key illegal?

Question

So I'm doing my education, learning, and excited to be soon advertising and going into the market to look for deals. I plan on making 500 business cards to start (vistaprint offers 500 for 9.99) and some bandit signs.

Looking up the laws regarding placing signs on the right-of-way of roads. It states a 100$ fine for each sign that they will remove, should I be worried? I will have my number on the sign so it wouldn't be hard for them to track down who's causing the mischief. How do people go about doing this.

@William Brown It all depends on your local government. I've been using them consistently for two years and made quite a bit of money off them. Like any town in America, mine has a law on the books making them "illegal"; however, the only phone call i've ever received from the city was from a councilman who was looking for a house to flip. Do you see other people in your area using them? If so, your city probably doesn't enforce. If you don't see ANY signs out, its a good sign that your city is actively picking them up and enforcing the code.

@William Brown you can also get a free Google Voice number to put on your signs. It's a free local number and it offers  a lot of cool features as well. If you have a GV number and the city looks up the number it just says Google. So all they can do is take your sign down since they can't find who to fine.
