Seed Capital success stories
Seed capital success stories; motivation for all the first time investors out there. Sound em out.
I began in the service industry, and worked over 3 summers while in High school in the late 70s. It wasn't easy getting financing for my first renovation (a dilapidated A-frame), but I am very fortunate that the home prices were significantly lower at the time. I found a buyer right away after a four month renovation post-secondary school, and was able to clear enough on the selling price to finance my next purchase. This was a slow method of raising initial (Seed) capital, but I am glad I didn't rush, as it paid off in spades and paved the way for many future purchases to come.

@Account Closed my wife and I flipped our home in Riverside, IL, which was a very comfortable place to live. I had remodeled the place over several years, and added a lot of value. We did it while she was pregnant with our second child. By flipping our home we were able to purchase a nine unit apartment complex in Berwyn (my back yard) and a 20 unit apartment complex in South Bend, Indiana! It all started with our "crazy plan" to flip our own home.
