Flipping or rental properties?

I'm brand new to the world of real estate, and just started my learning process about a month ago. I have researched a variety of ways to invest into real estate; and have narrowed my choices in two areas of investment: Flipping and rental properties/land-lording. At the moment, I currently have no capital to work with, and I'm a newly father; which makes making time at the moment difficult to invest in real estate and limited with funds. I am still in the learning process and striving to save up capital, which I am completely aware of the fact that it will be a great ordeal, but definitely manageable. I would like expert advice on; Should I focus on investing in Flipping, OR rental properties? I want to know what route would be the best for me to start off my real estate investment and would benefit me the most. Thank you

Hey Carlos! Welcome. Honestly I would take everyone's advice and continue to learn. There is so much to learn and if you don't have a particular passion then I think you should wait, educate, and see if something pops! When you find something you like ask for more information on it. I've had great response by just putting out there my ideas and questions on Bigger pockets! This site is awesome! Also find someone you can talk to about your ideas. I know everyone says find a mentor but my experience is that stuff happens organically when you're pursuing something that interests you. While on that path you'll find people to guide you. Good luck brother!!!!
