Meeting my First Agent

Hey everyone! I'm going to meet my first Real Estate Agent as I begin putting together my team. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some thoughts to keep in mind during our meeting. What are some good questions I can ask? What should I look out for? Thank you!

Just be open and honest about your goals and how you plan to operate. But, also understand the market. Don't ask for triplexes when there aren't any in town.

What type of investing do you plan to do?

Here's an example: looking for buy and hold property in the $X - $X dollar range. Single family or 1-4 familly. Or small apartment buildings.

Or, looking for properties to flip in the $X - $X dollar range.

Also, how would you like to communicate - text, email, video conference. Do you want daily market updates, weekly, etc. Do you want listings to come to you from the MLS that match your criteria for you to sort through or just a phone call when something interesting comes up?

Are you hands on and want to do your own analysis or do you want your agent to help.

Do you plan to submit 100 low ball offers around town every week. Or just one offer at a time.

What source of funding are you planning to use? Cash, hard money, bank loans...
