Finalizing our First Deal.

Hey BP. Long time follower, first time post-er.

I re-listened to the episode and decided to take on the 90 Day Challenge two months ago, and am in the final stages of financing my first deal. Offer accepted, paperwork filed, now waiting for final approval.

We're leaving our comfortable rental to 'House-Hack' a duplex in our Fort Wayne, IN neighborhood with the intention of repeating in the next 6 to 12 months.

Looking for opinions on installing a stackable washer dryer in the upstairs unit to avoid having to share washer dryer and basement access. Also think this may add to the rentability of the upstairs unit. Any experience with installation? Pros/cons? Cost benefit?

Also looking for any recommendations on property managers in Fort Wayne. I'm familiar with one, but I don't have any first hand comparison and would like some feedback on any in the area.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

I have a duplex that I own in West Central Fort Wayne  that I also house hacked while living in the downstairs unit.  I had an extra closet in the upstairs unit and I simply ran the plumbing and drains too  accommodate  a stackable washer and dryer and it was definitely a huge Pro to people looking for units  in that area
