Determined New Investor Norfolk VA

I am a new investor looking forward to buy my first deal ,I live in the Washington DC area which the prices of property are a little high ,but I am looking forward to buy something in Norfolk VA ,please I will appreciate any advice and help from investors in this area and investors not from this area
