I am new to this real estate investment game, but I am super excited for this opportunity to gain finical freedom through real estate investment. I am currently in Tacoma, WA and I am looking for a mentor. What would be the best way of connecting with a mentor? Where should one look for a mentor? Any guidance will help!

Hello Jonathan and welcome to BiggerPockets!

The BP forums are a great way to connect with folks on the site.

To help new BP'ers find what and who they're looking for, I recommend 4 things:

1. complete your BP profile - be as detailed and specific as possible when mentioning your goals. There are many people with value to add to you and plenty of people you can add value to as well!

2. use the 'search' function to find topics, members and areas of interest. Get answers to your questions and find people using this function!

3. Set up keyword alerts so that you can receive notifications once a topic or area of interest in mentioned in one of the forums. Its a great way to stay current! Some Keywords you might want to use are "mentor" "Tacoma" "investor Tacoma", etc.

4. Check out the Events tab at the top to find local meet ups around you.

Best of luck to you moving forward!

Abel
