Lineman that travels the country trying to look for a new life style in real estate.  Not sure on where to start for someone who has never invested before. Was thinking about trying to start our with a rental but up for suggestions and willing to do what ever it takes, just need a few pointers to get going.

@Marc Poulin

I would suggest picking up David Green's book on out of state investing. The way you move around that's what kind of owner you would be anyway, so it would be good to have those tools and your toolbox. Start researching the different ways to invest, along with his to select a good property manager. Also make sure your finances are up to the task. Good luck.
