Real estate agent with no need of MLS access

Posted

Hi there,

My husband build houses.

I just got my real estate license, do I need to pay for MLS and/or join a broker in order to sell the houses we build?

Thank you.

In most states in order to activate your license it needs to be placed with a broker.  Brokerage policies almost universally require to join your local realtor association and your mls. If you do not want to join either, you will need to find a brokerage that is not realtor affiliated and not a member of the mls. They are few and far between.
