What is a reasonable commission split?

I'm doing my first commercial real estate transaction and colleague at my brokerage has offered to mentor me through the process. If he isn't doing any of the footwork (calls, site visits, writing contracts) but rather checking in with me periodically to keep me on track/ give tips, and reviewing my contract... What is a fair commission split?

Give them 25% of what you're making

Happy to help. Definitely ask people in your market/area what they think. Sometimes what people recommend is based on their experience in their market. But might not be accurate to where you're located.

@Breanne Willard if you’re generating the leads 75%. For what your describing 25% to him seems fair.
