First Open House (days after receiving my license)- Help ! :)
Good evening everyone !
I received my real estate license today and was given my first open house by another realtor in our firm to be held Sunday ; 2 days from now.
It also happens to be a 5000 sq ft $400,000 property which is upper end for the Midwest.
Need advice on what to do to host the open house and to help market myself at the open house ?

-Be sure you know all the homes for sale in the nearby area, even print them out in case you need to pull one out for a potential buyer. 1% or less of the people that are serious shoppers end up buying a home they saw at an open house.
-Be able to articulate what sets you (and your company) apart from other agents. Developing a nice usp will certainly help this, you can even have certificates printed out. Something like "I guarantee to save you $5000 off list price, or I'll pay you $1000 cash" or whatever would work in your market.
-Bring your ipad or android tablet and download the open house app, so you can capture leads easily without having to write stuff down.
-Knock on the surrounding neighbors doors, hand them a flyer and tell them you're doing an open house at 123 main st and if they see anything suspicious to please call the police.
-Ask a lender to sit in with you, not only for the camaraderie but they can help pass out flyers to the neighborhood as well. A good one will even print them for you.
Good luck!
