Where to reach Realtors?

Question

I want to reach Realtors regarding the importance of investing in the industry in which they make their living. Where are the best venues in which to do this? Other than BP, of course.

@Doug Leedy, my local Realtor's Association had non-Realtor members. I'm pretty sure they'd let just about anyone join, too. NAR would be a great way to get in touch with all Realtors. But remember, not all agents are Realtors.

@Doug Leedy The descriptions of the groups all make them sound so exclusive but the reality is there are a lot of "industry-related" people in them that aren't agents/brokers. Also message the group admins - they usually like to setup referral type deals ($) to promote your product/services (which I assume is what you are offering - correct me if I'm wrong).

Depending on what level agents you are targeting, also look at your state's licensing dept. and see if you can FOIA the name and address of all licensed agents to direct mail them. I get inundated with postcards come renewal time from CE schools and agencies.

Easiest way to get in front of a large group of them, would be to somehow get into a brokerage, and do a presentation. If you know any lenders, have them make introductions to their favorite agents, and get some 1 on 1 meetings.

Thanks Matthew. I'm not an agent and haven't been for about 30 years. I have always been kind of a Realtor at heart. I've worked with them on a daily basis, many of my friends are Realtors, we are in the same industry, I was on the Board of Directors of my local Board for a period of time and I understand your problems and worries and your opportunities. I can't even join alot of these groups because I'm not one, which is why I asked this question. I should have made that clear up front.

@Doug Leedy If you want to go national, start making a name for yourself in the various Facebook groups for agents (some have over 50k members). Also look to national conventions like those that Inman holds.

@Doug Leedy I would suggest contacting the board of realtors for the area and asking if you can do a presentation for the local realtors.   The Tallahasee Board of Realtors has seminars like this frequently and we receive alerts regarding them.

@Doug Leedy I'd do it a couple ways. You can get into local associations, and hold a seminar. Holding a license is public record, so you can somehow figure out how to get all the information from the DBPR, and then do an email campaign to Realtors in whatever region you're working at the time.

Thanks Tom. I am doing that locally but I'm looking to expand to the rest of the state of Florida and, eventually, the rest of the country. That's the kind of forum I'm looking for. Any suggestions?
