A Construction book

Dear BP community,

I am in a middle of a construction, i was wondering is there a book which would list all the relevant norms, standards and normal ways how to do different construction jobs (how to put laminate, sheet-rock, kitchen cabinets and etc) Something like construction for dummies, maybe?

I hired a contract but i just want to make sure he does the right job
