Hello all,

I'm sure one of these days I wont be up in the wee hours of the morning figuring out this investment business......

Is it normal for a contractor to just give a flat rate of $40-44 a square foot to remodel a home.

Agreed. Always get line item bids and detail out the scope. Remember, Contractors are busy right now, at least where I'm at, so you may need to get more specific in your quote request to make it easier for them to bid.
