mold information/removal

I just purchased another rental property about 12 days ago from auction. it is a double wide trailer. The house has some mold issues. I was planning to just try and remedy this myself, but now an having nightmares about a tenant getting sick and facing a lawsuit.  I have replaced the bad roof which i believe is where the water was coming from that led to mold. There is mold on all the interior walls and trim. there is no visible mold in the roof/crawlspace nor in between the walls. I am looking for anyone who has dealt with this problem in the past. The home is in Milton Fl. So if you can recommend anyone in the Milton / Pace area that would be great!

If i decide to clean it up myself is there a way that i can get some sort of test done for my records showing that it is not a health risk for someone to live in the property?

Replied

Demetrius Crisco You will need a mold abatement company to issue you a certificate that the house is mold free for you to "pass" your lawsuit liability to them. Doing it yourself will still be a liability issue, you may or may not remediate every mold, but you'll never know, you're not an expert in mold remediation.
