Contractors in Western Wa!

I've used this sights list of contractors as well as just looking up numbers in the phone book. I havent had good luck with people. Half the numbers for people in my area don't work. I've had several people come out to give me a price quote and never come back. I've also had several people say that they would come out and never did.

Am I the only one who has this problem? I have a carport that I've converting to a studio apartment. I'd also like to add a bathroom. I feel like it's a good investment. I want to get that and other balls rolling. If anyone in my area has a good recommendation, I'd be grateful. Or tips on how to get good help. Thanks.
