Today marks the 9-year anniversary of the founding of our BiggerPockets Blog. In that time, we've had 170 contributors share their real estate insight with us across over 5,100 articles and we've had over 55,000 comments on those articles.

I'm very proud of what the Blog has become -- what is hand's down, the leading blog for real estate investors online.

Happy Birthday BP!! The site is nothing short of phenomenal. I mentioned this to Brandon about two weeks ago; BP has literally changed not just my life, but more importantly the lives if my wife and children. You are helping my family become wealthy, and for that I cannot thank you enough...

    one of my favorite components of the BP offerings. I like that I can type in a topic that I want more info on like, master leasing, in search and I get several well written articles and ongoing discussions in the forums.

    Thanks for providing a valuable tool.

    PS I thought it was cool that Brandon was up at 1 or 2 in the morning welcoming new people. I hope his bonus this year isn't a house in Detroit that Josh is trying to unload. No disrespect to the Detroit BPers.

    Hey @Cal C. - BiggerPockets itself has been around for 9.5 years . . . today marks the day that the blog part of the site was created. Either way, I'm still proud!

    My profile now says I joined BP early 2010 but I was a member way back when it was a static main page website with a few sub-pages.

    Back then I remember you had a list of where to find bank REO contacts right in the middle of the front page.

    It just goes to show if you are persistent an never give up you can grow and create and amazing business.

    I find it interesting that BP allows different people to communicate through various medium platforms. My thing is the forums. Some people are naturally great writers so the blog does well for them.

    BP is awesome. I commit to write a blog post for BP in the next 7 days. I am thinking of this title (but it sounds so "guru-like")

    Thank you @Joshua D. for this site and the bringing together people who are helping each other. I had been doing real estate for 20 years before finding this site, yet my learning curve has jumped more in the last 2 years than the last 20 years before that. You have helped more people help themselves than any Guru. I really like that you have both free and paid content. I just got an accepted offer on a property this week that I will set up for friend to buy his first house. He has wanted his own house since I met him 25 years ago. I would not have been able to set the deal up but for the information I gained from this site.

    I like success! I really like hearing that not only new investors are jumping into RE and making money but also that the old dogs are learning new tricks that payoff. It's an unusual collaborative effort that all of our members benefit from.

    I wouldn't be here if it weren't for Josh and Brandon or Jon in keeping this site running effectively and efficiently. BP is the only source I know of that provides such a vast amount of free RE information from so many seasoned investors lending time and talents. If it weren't for those seeking advice in various subjects the information would probably remain dormant and undisclosed. Thanks to BP, there are no secrets of success for small RE investors.

    Congrats and thank you for creating such a great site. There is so much here to read and learn from. Being able to post and get answers on topics that I am needing to learn about on BP is a fantastic. I can't wait to see how much I will be able to grow though the people I have and will meet on here over the next few years. I wish I would have checked BP out years ago.

    I can honestly say this has been the best educational tool that I have come across and I would not have been able to accomplish what I have in my short time as an rei if it weren't for BP!

    So true @Jay Hinrichs - after real estate investing the past twenty years - doing commercial, residential, land development, SFR and multifamily rentals - and especially flipping distressed properties (by buying at the auctions - site unseen sometimes - or forming "partnerships" on the court house steps) - you and I have seen about everything! lol
