Hey Everyone --
BiggerPockets was offline for 1/2 hour this morning (9:30-10:00 EST) demonstrating what could happen to our site and many others if the SOPA & PIPA bills pass in Congress.

If you haven't heard of these, please read the following and you'll learn more about the protest and danger to the internet that these pose.

STOP SOPA

Wikipedia, Google, and thousands of other sites are also in protest . . .

I like what I do and think that many of you find this place to be a valuable resource . . . please support the protest, because in one trial-less decision, sites like ours can just be shut down without notice.

I am all for less government intrusion. I wished everyone understood that the federal government is not the answer to all of our problems. This country is so diverse, so how could one governmental entity effectively take care of 300million people? I know this is a much broader comment than you intended, but this is also part of a larger issue.
