How many lives has Biggerpockets changed for the better?

Hello Biggerpockets. Not sure if I am posting this in the right forum, but there was no category for a thank you post. Maybe there should be, I think it might be very popular.

I want that thank Biggerpockets for changing my life. Sounds like a bold statement, but without a doubt, BP has drastically helped my real estate investing, but more importantly changed my mindset. I'm a happier, healthier, smarter,  and more confident person because of BP.

I've obviously learnt the ins and outs of investing in real estate, which has probably saved me from costly mistakes, but what I've really learnt is how to succeed. It takes the same skills to succeed at real estate investing as is does to succeed at anything.

Hearing guest after guest talk about not quitting after a setback, and how you only truly fail if you stop trying. How you can have mistakes cripple you, or educate you. How by providing people around you with what they need, you will get what you need. How surrounding yourself with awesome people, doing awesome things, you will become awesome, and if you surround yourself with underachievers, you will become one.

But most importantly, I learnt to take 100% responsibility for everything in my life. At first it's hard to swallow that I am to blame for everything that goes wrong in my life. It's easy to blame someone else, but the beautiful thing about taking full responsibility is that it also means you have total control of everything in your life. It's not the contractors fault for screwing me over, going over budget and over schedule, it's my fault for not vetting him well enough, or managing the project better. If I blame someone else, there's nothing I can do about it, but if I take responsibility, then I can solve the problem. Life hands us all problems and setbacks, what we do about it and learn from it is up to us.

I could write a book about my transition to a new mindset thanks to BP. Listening to guests like David Osborn speak was a spark that lit a bonfire. I didn't know who David Kiyosaki, Jim Rohn, David Osborn or Grant Cardone were before BP. Now I don't watch TV, I read books, listen to podcasts and host networking groups.

I view money a completely different way now too. I understand assets and liabilities (thank David Kiyosaki!). I don't trip over dollars to pick up dimes.

I've also met business partners on BP. I once had the mindset to keep investing a secret and not tell anyone. Now I tell everyone I can, and the people I've met and how those people have helped me, and how I've helped them is incredible.

Thank you Josh Dorkin. Thank you Brandon Turner. Thank you David Green. Thank you everyone at BP!

P.S. No offence to Josh Dorkin and Brandon Turner is great, but I could listen to David Green talk all day. I love the analogies. He drives the points home so well and speaks so precisely.
