One of the hardest things to get right online is search. Even the top search engines often can't help us find what we're looking for. We are aware that search has been a weak point here on the site for a long time, and I want you to know that we are working on it.
In fact, yesterday, we implemented a new search engine on the site. The back end of that search is far more powerful than what we've been using previously, and over time, we expect our results to improve drastically as we tweak our algorithm.
Additionally, as you may have noticed, the site's search box no longer gives you the option to select various areas of the site to search. That's because, as you can see in the image below, when you enter a search term, we show you results for that term across the platform.
We believe that this change will help you better find what and who you're looking for while spending time here on the site.
