New Forums changes/improvements - be assured staff is listening!

Hey all,

I know there's a dozen of these threads going right now but just for ease of information I thought I'd post a "new" one here to respond to some of the comments and critiques I've heard:

- The Post & Vote totals are back - if you hover over the user's name, you'll see them there.

- Linear sense of the forums - jump to last post - specific page - these are some issues that they are looking at right now to see how they can be improved from the current setup.

- Click to open replies - same as above.

Just to let you know that staff is monitoring the threads and gathering the responses, and I've personally been able to speak with some of the staff and relay concerns, so they do hear what you're saying - sometimes changes are just difficult because they're different, but some of what's been noted in the other threads definitely has legitimacy (at least in my opinion) and I think it's being taken seriously. It's a good staff and they don't have any interest (I don't believe) in diminishing your forum experience; sometimes things that seem like they'll work well in concept don't play out as well in reality. So I would just say have a little bit of patience as some of these things are looked at.

On the plus side, if you haven't used the new search function, it is light years ahead of the last search function which was virtually unusable.
