I am looking at a property that the previous owner pre foreclosure buried stuff in the backyard. Would you make the purchase contingent upon discovering the was buried? What kind of inspection or environmental testing should I have written in to my offer?

Does "demolition materials" mean explosives used to do demolition? Or the waste generated by doing demolition. Like @Bill Gulley says, if its explosive, its serious.

OTOH, if its the debris from demolition the bomb squad isn't going to care. But the EPA might. Could contain lead paint, asbestos, oil or who knows what. A small town in mine and Bill's home state of MO was wiped off the map as a result of a guy spreading dioxin contaminated oil on their streets. I don't think I'd touch this one with 20' pole.
