Selling house on a 'drug block'

Dan Coleman
Posted

I bought a nice looking row house in an 'up and coming' part of Pittsburgh's north side.  Despite the charming look to the neighborhood there's a heroin dealer across the street.   The foot and vehicle drug traffic is pretty constant and we've had drug related violence.  I basically want out but would prefer not to sell to a buyer unaware of the situation.  A lot of LLCs are looking to convert houses for low income rentals around here and I am wondering how I would target the sale to those rather than a family with kids for example.  I know I'll take a hit on the house but it's not worth feeling unsafe.

Contact the owner of the “drug house”. Almost certainly, they don’t want the tenant, either.
