I see many for sale by owner signs in yards around my town. Are these good leads to contact and find more information on?

FSBO's are fun,

Like a grab bag. Sometimes they just don't know an agent, Sometimes they can't find one who will list it at their price (Too high), sometimes they just want it gone cheap, sometimes they are pros who know exactly what it is worth and want to save on commissions, sometimes they are just trying to see what people will offer.

I say call them every chance you can get and ask some questions on what they are looking to get out of it. Also get needed repairs and motivations.

Could be a diamond in the rough or a cranky person who is offended you called them on a sign they posted.

Good Luck!
