Buying a condo from Auction - yes or no?

I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from more experienced investors.  My real estate agent doesn't seem to be a big fan of me buying a condo via auction. As I browse Zillow, I'm seeing tons of homes being auctioned at amazing prices and I can't help but wonder how I  can get my hands on one of these properties!  I know that buying auctioned/foreclosed homes don't allow contingencies....but at these prices,  the risk might be worth it especially for the newer properties. Any advice on this matter would be appreciated . I'm very confused why more people don't buy from auctions  and why my agent isn't recommending it.

Thanks!

mario
