Owner Occupancy Bank Verification?

I'm curious I thought I saw someone say banks are checking to make sure you're really living in the building if you're claiming owner occupancy. Does anyone know exactly what they are doing to verify? Other than checking your listed address or utilities?

This wasn't for an owner occupant loan, but I had a lender send someone to knock on my tenant's door to confirm the lease I gave them was valid.  That was a first for me.  I can't blame the banks.  Look at how much fraud was out there.
