Setting Section 8 Rent?

When putting up a section 8 friendly unit, can do by default charge the fair market rent (e.g. 1100)? Or is there some way in which what you're able to charge is tied to the local market (e.g. 850)?

It's complicated. I outlined how SEC 8 determines what you rent can be and how you can maximize it in a recent blog.  Check it out here.
