Starting out as a Real Estate Agent

Hello everybody.

I just got my Wisconsin real estate salesperson license, and accepted a position with a local broker.  Does anybody have any tips on ways to get some clients, and things to do to get my name out there.  Also, if anybody has any tips on things i can do, learn, work on, to speed up the learning process and impress my new boss?  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey Jordan, congratulations! I'd definitely recommend finding an experienced agent who is doing what you want to do (whether it be working with investors, high end homes, high volume transactions, rehabbers, new construction) and provide value to them. Create a mentorship and soak up their knowledge. Think long term and build up your network, your brand, and your systems. Never turn down an opportunity to meet new people and to tell folks what you do for a living. But don't be annoying/pushy about it!
