Potential Investor in Memphis (Zip Code: 38111)

Hi,

I'm looking at properties in zip code 38111 in Memphis and am looking for opinions from people here. I've reviewed data from some sites including City-Data and am pretty comfortable with what the data presents to me. I'm looking for buy-and-hold properties to rent and found some interesting listings on Zillow.

My question to people either living in or investing in is this: "what do you think of 38111?"

Thank you!

@Chris LumLee - As much as I love investing in Memphis, it isn’t friendly to OOS investors looking at zip code data because there can be vast changes block by block here.  38111 contains a huge range of homes.  You’d be better off looking for neighborhood data.

38111 could be great for investment.  Really depends on what you are looking for.  You will find a huge price difference north and south of Southern.

Can’t really advise more than that.  If you want to PM me more details, I’d be happy to give you my thoughts on it.
