Security System in House while its being rehabbed

Looking for some advice on putting a security system in my Rehab. I am about to start a new rehab project and was thinking about adding some sort of security system in it to monitor who is coming in and out of the house and overall security. I wanted to hear some  pros and cons on doing this and any recommendations for specific budget friendly systems.

Hi, I recently used the Arlo go. It uses cell phone signal. It is working great for keeping an eye on things. $20/mo for the data plan 400 to buy camera.
