Buying while getting a DIVORCE

I’m in the process of buying a house. My closing date is Nov. 15th BUT my divorce date is Nov. 14th Should I push back my closing date? Do I need proof of divorce? What else do I need to know, I have very little knowledge on all this Please help

you're buying the house with a loan? Tell the loan underwriter the deal and they will tell you what requirements you'll need.

are you in a community property state? If so, they may force your wife to be on the deed if you close while still married.

How are you buying the house? If through a realtor they should know.

if you have no lender and no realtor then you REALLY need someone on the ground who knows the state law that can give you good advice.
