Birmingham Alabama - 35211

Posted

Hi All,

I am an out of state investor looking into small/mid (2-12 units) multi family housing in Birmingham, AL. I have found a couple that look promising in the 35211 zip code but have not been able to determine if this zip is a C neighborhood or D/F. Does anyone have experience in this area? The street are 11st SW, 12th st SW, and 16th St SW.

Would also need a quality property manager and realtor as well, assuming a move forward. If anyone has any recommendations on that, that would be great.

Thank you in advance to everyone who replies.

Brandon.

@Brandon Windecker

Based on the data, it seems that 35211 is a D/F as others have suggested.

The graphic below shows the grades for groups of blocks within the zip-code, which I computed by looking at a number of metrics.

I have only include the northern park of 35211 since that is where you are considering investing. The areas south of Red Mountain Park that are part of the zip code are of much higher quality.
