Denver Co house hacking/rental property investing input

Hey guys im new to bigger pockets, recently moved near the Denver Colorado area a few months ago, looking for any input on the local market for house hacking etc. Im not seeing really any duplexs within the area or a reasonable commute to work in Highlands Ranch Co. Im currently renting, lease ends in a few months and would like to look into buying something. Thinking house hacking of somesort to have little or no mortgage would be best my option, any input on what some of you are doing and areas to check out would be greatly appreciated! Also curious if anyone rents out single family homes as investment properties here? Most places are minimum 300-400k from what im seeing near me curious to if you can still get positive cash flow in some places?

Hey Nick, you could always buy a single family with extra bedrooms and rent them out as opposed to purchasing a duplex. Denver is an ideal place to do it being that there's such a lack of affordable housing. I have a 4 bed down in The Springs and rent out all of my extra rooms. I can be a very profitable arrangement if you do it right.
