Hello fellow Biggerpocket-ers in the Houston area

I am looking to purchase my first home at 22 years old this May-June in the South East Houston area near UH campus. I have about 12k saved up and make about 35k per year for the last four years with good credit. Any advice for a future investor or any agents and/or lender recommendations.
