Sellers needs extension due to tenants

Supposed to close on the 5th, the tenants were supposed to be out by end of April. I want the house, though I'm frustrated as hell about this. Here I am all packed up, and these scummy (I've met them) tenants and their crappy landlord who doesn't manage them well are delaying things.

What options do I have here other than waiting?

@Jack B. Sorry to hear that you are dealing with this situation.  The only thing I can offer is to remind you to maintain perspective.  You are purchasing this property for a reason and even if you end up being delayed in the near term, in the long run this will just be another story about an obstacle that you overcame.

Best of luck,

John
