Where are the responsive realtors?

Question

What is average response time should I expect from a good realtor on a good(at least to me) deal? Would love some insights here from the experienced BP folks.

Is it me expecting unrealistic response times because I work in a demanding management consulting job where responsiveness/communication is key or do most realtors not understand the value of client communication even if they are very busy?

I want to move ahead and put offers but I get responses next day. All the good properties I have found successfully have been the ones where I moved super quick but these realtors it seems just don't want the business.

I'm a Realtor and I do respond to my clients asap!  I often don't get responses from the other side (agents) quickly and it's frustrating for us as agents also.  I would say communicate that you want to put in an offer if you are reaching out to an agent that you have had no prior contact with.  If they don't respond before the end of the day I would say move on to one that will. There's a lot of us and you'll find one that matches your style.

@Victor Lee - I opt for realtors who hustle, because I do the same in my own work. I look for realtors who respond ASAP when making offers. For other matters, within 24 hours. There are realtors everywhere who have the hustle mentality — you just have to interview several.

I’ve fired realtors for their delayed response. Never regretted it. Actually an agent even thanked me because it helped him realize he needed an assistant.

Next day for most.  Realtors dont sit behind a desk answering emails all day. They are out in the field.
