Has anyone used the paid service at www.GoSection8.com to find Section 8 tenants?

How do you raise rent for a Section 8 tenant?

Hey Jak,

I had a client that needed 10 to 15 properties a month leased and wanted as many Section 8 tenants as possible. It took a little time to figure it out but once you understand the demographic and their habits, you can begin to focus your marketing appropriately.

I tried GoSection8 and got ZERO tenants from it. I may have had a few leads but that was it.

Another site is SocialServe, it is used in some areas exclusively by some local housing authorities.

The problem is that if you look at internet usage statistics for those that would qualify for Section 8... not very promissing.

Try Thrifty Nickel and Ugly Yellow Signs.... worth their weight it gold.

To raise the rent, I would wait until lease was coming up and would send in the appropriate request form to the Housing Authority requesting the increase. They have a set of tables and normally comply.

We can get deeper if you need to, just shoot me a private message.
