Title and Liens - Best practices

Jason Westlund
Posted

Hello all.

I see from looking at foreclosure listings it warns that not all liens would be removed after a foreclosure sale. How can I get an understanding of what to watch for?

Any best practices or guidance?

Thank you.

Jason

Only those junior lienholders who were given proper notice of the sale would have their liens extinguished. So not only do you need a title report to identify the priority of the lien being foreclosed, you also need confirmation of notice.
