Va appraisal and chipping paint

Hey bp, just had a va appraisal done and everything went well except for the chipping paint outside. I do have shake siding which would be  very time consuming to paint the entire house. Anyway around this?

Hello Ryan Keenan
I think the previous appraiser (for the purchase) dropped the ball. This type of repair MUST be completed as it represents a safety concern. You shouldn't be frustrated with the current appraiser, he/she is obviously more competent than the previous one. It is a bit of a pain, but for FHA and VA there is no way around this requirement.
Best wishes.
